Educational Success Tutoring is owned and operated by Peter J. Mamos. Pete received his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University in 1995 and his Master’s degree from Boston College in 2000. Before opening Educational Success in 2005, Pete taught in both the public and private school settings. Originally from Concord, Pete now resides in Nashua with his wife and three children.

MELISSA GOUTHRO, M.A.E.

Melissa, a native of Merrimack,  graduated from Dickinson College with a B.S. in Mathematics in 2004.  She later received her Masters in Mathematics Education from the University of Florida. With over 19 years experience, Melissa has taught in both the private and public settings. She is certified by the American Board and is currently licensed in New Hampshire. Melissa now lives in the Nashua area with her husband, daughter, and dog after living and teaching mathematics in South Florida for fourteen years. She is a math teacher for Windham School District.

KEITH FILION, B.A.

Keith obtained his B.A. in General Studies at Harding University, specializing in Religious Studies. He completed an A.S. in mathematics at Nashua Community College. Keith is also employed as full time math teacher at Pinkerton Academy. In his spare time, Keith enjoys hiking, playing tennis, studying math, reading non-fiction, writing, and spending time with family and friends.

FRANKIE STRACCIA, M.S.

Frankie Straccia’s undergraduate major was biology followed by a master’s degree in sedimentary geology. During her master’s program, she taught classes both on campus and at geology field camp. She started as a wildcat oil finder and ended as the Executive Editor of Shell’s in-house technology magazine. She has recently worked as an analyst for an NSF-sponsored research project and substitute teacher. She started tutoring the SAT twenty years ago and is continually updating practice materials to reflect the content of the current SAT .

JANE VINCENT, M.A.

Jane earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in mathematics from the University of Vermont. After completing graduate school, she was an Instructor in Mathematics at UVM. Most recently, she taught mathematics at Bishop Guertin High School for fifteen years. While she and her husband were raising their two sons, she taught courses at Rivier College for eighteen years. Jane is a certified mathematics teacher with experience teaching all levels of mathematics.

CHERYL ROSENTHAL, M.Ed.

Cheryl received her undergraduate degree from Radford University in 1981 and her Master’s degree from Boston College in 1983. Cheryl has also worked as a tutor since 1996. She has extensive experience working with individuals with special needs in both the private and public sectors.  Cheryl also serves as our office manager and is responsible for all scheduling.

SUSAN SCRIBNER, B.A.

Susan graduated valedictorian of her class at Rivier College, earning her Bachelor of Arts in 1995.  She taught middle school in the Merrimack and Nashua school districts, and was awarded the Sallie Mae Most Outstanding First Year Teacher Award for New Hampshire.  She has tutored for over 10 years, coaching students from elementary through high school to achieve their academic potential. Other than tutoring, you’ll find her trying to keep up with her two children, experimenting with a new recipe or enjoying a good book.

MARY LOU BROWN, M.Ed.

Mary Lou graduated from the University of Massachusetts with her Masters in Education in 1993. She received her Bachelors in Biology from St. Joseph’s College, Maine, where she played basketball and softball. Mary Lou is a licensed Massachusetts and New Hampshire science teacher, and has 15 years experience teaching high school science. She offers help with learning strategies, organization, and breaking down challenging scientific concepts.
