REMOTE LEARNING PODS
As school districts turn to remote learning and hybrid options during the pandemic, some parents are forming pods to help students supplement their learning. Small groups of students who are in the same grade/classes meet at regular times/locations led by a pod leader. The pod leader essentially becomes a teacher to help with instruction and keep students on task. This also provides a degree of socialization that all-remote learning cannot provide. Educational Success Tutoring can offer support for remote learning pods whether pod leaders need a bigger space or help with instruction.
OPTION 1: Facility Rental Only
While learning pods may meet at homes, indoor space limitations may prevent safe physical distancing. Our facility enables pods to safely meet and keep safe distancing. We have five rooms where students can have a space to themselves and a common area where pods can meet as a groups. Workrooms and common areas are equipped with whiteboards and individual tables. The pod leader would be responsible for all instruction and/or curriculum support. Maximum of five students per pod. One to three-hour blocks available with only one pod in the building at a time.
Cost: $25/hour per pod (up to five students). No contract.
OPTION 2: Facility Rental w/ Support
In addition to facility rental, this option includes a tutor who will provide academic support by supervising the pod or assisting the pod leader. Using the curriculum provided and communicating with the pod leader, the tutor can instruct material as needed and/or support students with their classwork. The tutor will provide feedback to parents in regard to student progress and comprehension of material. As with Option 1, we can safely accommodate five students at once while keeping adequate distancing. One to three-hour blocks available with only one pod in the building at a time.
Cost: $50/hour per pod (2-5 students). No contract.
